In 1942, Tex Radford, a spartan machinist, founded Aeroparts Machining Specialists (AMS). Radford was an entrepreneur and started his company from scratch. In the beginning he handled everything from sales calls to manufacturing the product. Radford began manufacturing parts for airplanes and then grew the company into manufacturing pumps and valves for a variety of industries including the oil and gas industry.

AMS specializes in horizontal machining centers and working with castings and bar stocks. They also handle their own tooling and fixturing work and can provide milling and turning.

In addition, AMS also develops their own programming for their CNC equipment.

AMS is ISO certified and has an on time delivery record of 96%. The average tenure for AMS employees is 18 years.
